University of Sheffield bans students for protesting

In a move against student activism, the university has ruled that two students will be banned from the premises, except for “academic purposes”. Their ‘crime’ was to take a pro-strike banner into a conference, which the university management described as an ‘occupation’. Private investigators were used during the inquiry.
