Gut Level, a queer and community arts venue, has been based in Chapel Walk since May 2024. Now, through a citizen investor campaign, they have bought their building with help from Music Venue Properties (MVP) which runs a national “Own Our Venues” campaign.

The press release describes it as “diligently chipping away at dominant capitalist models and moving towards alternatives that build real community wealth, reclaim ownership of our city’s assets for the common good, and invest in collectivism”
