South Yorkshire Festival
The annual family and cultural festival and celebration of the Trade Union and Labour Movement in South Yorkshire held in Wortley Hall – which is co-operatively owned and run, and has been in the hands of the Labour Movement for decades.
Fun for all ages, with dozens of stalls, crafts, gifts, dancers, face painting, bouncy castles, rides and games, music and entertainers, bars, food and drink in the beautiful setting of Wortley Hall and 27 acres of quiet woodland and gardens.
Every year they welcome unions, campaigns, co-operatives and charities with information stands. Booking forms are available in advance by email to info@wortleyhall.org.uk. (Food or drink stalls are not admitted, instead refreshments are provided by the team at Wortley Hall).
Admission is free, just the car park charges, with all proceeds going to charities and Wortley Hall restoration fund. (Take CASH to pay, not card). Bus number 29 runs every hour or two from Sheffield Interchange, get off at Wortley, then go down the drive to the hall.
