Sheffield Transformed - Visions Festival
Sheffield Transformed organises radical, collaborative and creative political education events to promote left-wing activism at a local level, through discussion, arts and culture.
The Visions festival is a chance to inspire each other, build our movement, and express our collective vision for the future. Come and hear new ideas, take part and get organised to support our communities, fight oppression, and build alternatives to capitalism.
Over the day, multiple sessions will run simultaneously in SADACCA and outside. These will cover issues like A.I., healthcare, protest singing, youth movements, Sheffield’s radical history, and the power of international solidarity.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided on a pay-what-you-can basis, subject to availability.
Ticket prices are on a sliding scale to cover costs without pricing anyone out. This is an inclusive event, and there is an Accessibility Statement (Google document) which gives full details of the two venues, along with accessibility, and health and safety arrangements. And there will be a Visions After-party from 9pm to 2am at Zephyr’s (Stag Works, 84 John St, S2 4QU, at the other side of the city centre). DJs will include members of Club Rez, Amledd and Calabash, supportive local DJs, along with members of City of Sanctuary Sheffield’s volunteer team. After-party tickets are sold separately here.
