A rally to reclaim the streets for our city and South Yorkshire’s anti-racist majority. As all major cities are having to do, Sheffield is standing up and speaking out against hatred and division, which is being fed by far right influencers, and some of the media and politicians.

The location (Sheffield’s Peace Gardens) is notably the site of the Spanish War Memorial which records the South Yorkshire volunteers who supported the International Brigade fighting against Fascism in the Spanish Civil War, 1936-39, along with those campaigning, raising money and sending supplies.

The event has been called by a large coalition of anti-racism and anti-war pressure groups, community groups, migrant solidarity groups, women’s groups, trade unions, journalists, Sheffield, Rotherham andChesterfield and District Trades Union Councils, Barnsley Trades Council, Sheffield Save Our NHS and other health groups
