Migration Matters Festival 2026
The 11th Migration Matters Festival is the UK’s biggest Refugee Week event. The 2026 theme Forged By Migration recognises how different communities have shaped Sheffield, and contributed to its diverse international population. This year there is an added outdoor stage in collaboration with Kelham Island Museum, offering a free event on Saturday 28th of June.
Festival highlights include Mobo Award-winning Ghanaian-English singer Fuse ODG.
Theatre including The Horse of Jenin by Alaa Shehada, about the removal of a symbol of Palestinian resistance.
Cinema screening of the powerful Oscar-nominated Bosnian war drama Quo Vadis Aida?
DJ sessions including dub producer Aba Shanti-I
Afro-Brazilian dance workshops
