Film screening: Fires and Fascism
The Diamond Lecture Theatre 05, 32 Leavygreave Road, Sheffield S3 7RD
A film screening of Pete Knapp’s first film, made on a shoestring budget with the support of activists and crowdfunders. Fires and Fascism is about extreme wildfires, more than just a result of climate change, they also involve big business, organised crime, and the rise of the far right. It shows the role of protest, direct action, and community projects as tools to suppress these threats.
The screening is open to the public and it will be followed by an hour of Q&A discussion with the director. Hosted by Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures.
Tickets are free of charge but sign up on Eventbrite to get your ticket – there will be no tickets at the door. Doors open at 6:00pm, film starts at 6:30pm.
