Sheffield Communities Against Racism & Fascism (SCARF) are hosting an anti-fascist street party to joyously counter a planned march by Raise the Colours. Join our city’s anti-racist majority, standing up and speaking out against hatred and division fed by far right influencers, media and politicians.

Gather from 11:30 at the Peace Gardens, 50 Pinstone Street, Sheffield City Centre, S1 2HH, for a mid-day march to the Railway Station. Bring anything you can: bikes, banners, dance moves, for a festival of resistance and unity, solidarity and fun against fascism.

The location (Sheffield’s Peace Gardens) is notably the site of the Spanish War Memorial which records the South Yorkshire volunteers who supported the International Brigade fighting against Fascism in the Spanish Civil War, 1936-39.

This event has been called by a large coalition of anti-racism and anti-war pressure groups, community groups, migrant solidarity groups, women’s groups, trade unions, journalists, Sheffield, Rotherham and Chesterfield and District Trades Union Councils, Barnsley Trades Council, Sheffield Save Our NHS and other health groups.
