The Special Branch is a specialist volunteer group which rescues and helps birds. They’ve built up expert knowledge, and help the survival of hundreds of injured and sick birds every year. The group runs entirely on donations, and supporters on a regular basis are especially welcome. They operate a charity shop to help fundraising, at 15 Chesterfield Rd. S8 0RL (next to the bus stop near to The Crown pub and the big ‘Rails of Sheffield’ model shop; it’s opposite Lidl and Sloan Medical Centre).
