Sheffield Freegle
Visit Sheffield FreegleFreegle means Free Giving, Locally, Easily. It’s a online re-use network. It developed as a more flexible version of Freecycle, enabling people to keep household goods out of landfill by giving away things they don’t want.
You can offer things (to give away free, no selling) and if someone wants they can arrange collection. If you’re trying to find something, put in a request, but note there’s a limit of 4 “wanted” messages per month, with up to 4 items per post.
Freegle is a charity, run by hard-working volunteers, and free to use, but to cover costs they feature advertisements. If this is too annoying, you have the option to donate in return for having adverts switched off for a month. Regular monthly donations are especially helpful, and if they reach a donation target they will turn ads off for everyone, which seems fair enough.
There are also Freegle groups in nearby towns, and Freecycle groups which are also recommended.
