Scrap Dragon is Sheffield’s scrap store, a not-for-profit company with a shop on Verdon Street in Burngreave. They provide an affordable supply of art, craft and play material for schools, colleges, nurseries, crafters, hobbyists, students, families and home educators who would otherwise spend a lot in shops like Hobbycraft. The materials are surplus donated by local businesses, and can include wood, card, colourful and exciting textiles and very random items.

Scrap Dragon always welcomes suitable donations. It is open to everyone as a community resource, although you need to be a member to shop, simply join when you visit. The membership scheme ensures the recycled scrap is spread fairly across the community. Individual members pay £1 and can fill one basket for £5; schools and colleges pay £10 for unlimited baskets.
