RADMASH Fundraiser
Beat the January blues with a big fundraiser night featuring a fantastic line-up of local performers, raffle and open mic for music and poetry.
Sheffield Radical Mutual Aid (RADMASH) is a grassroots organisation which seeks to offer an alternative to the broken political system and sustain our local communities through solidarity and caring for one another. They have built a network where people can ask for and offer up support, in whatever form that may be.
They operate mainly through monthly community meals. Running since 2022, the meals aim to address people’s struggle to afford food, and also provide a space for sharing and swapping resources such as books and clothes, as well as learning and practising crafts such as badge- and banner-making for movements and campaigns. They also hold other events such as fundraisers and film screenings exploring interconnected local and global people’s struggles, and provide food at events held by other local organisations, such as migrants’ rights and pride groups, in the spirit of mutual aid and people’s solidarity.
Events like this are vital to sustaining work long-term, including the monthly meals, please remember when purchasing your ticket. So come along, bring your friends, jump on the open mic – or simply have a boogie and support the movement!
N.B. If you don’t manage to get a low wage ticket, there may be some on the door.
