Principle 5 Annual General Meeting
The annual general meeting of Principle 5, the Sheffield-based Yorkshire co-operative education resource centre. It comes at a time when the co-operative movement is increasingly seen as a stronger alternative to the failing capitalist economy, and city-wide co-operative initiatives are growing.
Principle 5‘s plans for 2026 include further publications and events. Current study themes, to be discussed along with the AGM, are:
• Why exactly did the healthy co-operative movement diminish after World War Two?
• Education of the Workers: research into The Sheffield Educational Settlement archive
• How can political workers’ education be revived?
Doors will be open from 1pm with refreshments. Existing and new members welcome, membership fees apply. To find out more about Principle 5 see their website or contact membership@principle5.coop. Membership forms can be found online here.
