A talk by author and cartoonist Polyp (Paul Fitzpatrick) based on his forthcoming new book, written in collaboration with Humanists UK’s historian, Madeleine (Maddy) Goodall. The subject is biographies of world-shaking humanists, some of them household names, others deserving to be rediscovered.

Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub hold regular public talks at Farm Road Sports & Social Club, usually in the back room of the club (through the main bar) or occasionally in the function room to the right of the main entrance door. Press the buzzer to be let in. All talks are free but they ask for a donation of £3 per person to cover the room hire costs and speaker’s travel expenses.
