The annual Festival of Debate this year kicks off with author and researcher Kate Pickett, from the University of York. She was part of the pioneering team that produced “The Spirit Level” (2009), which shifted scientific understanding of inequality. How to make a good society prioritising health, care, education and rehabilitation is her current focus.

The conversation will be hosted by writer and policy advisor Simon Duffy, Director of Citizen Network.
